Svenningsens Maskinforretning a-s - established 1861 - is a major machine sales company in the Scandinavian markets. The company also at its own workshops offers extensive services concerning maintenance and repair of machines.

The products supplied to the markets are mainly machines and equipment for professional users within maintenance of roads, parks, sportsareas , golfcourses, churchyards, housing areas and similar.

Svenningsens is, for instance through agencies, representing leading machine manufacturers – domestic as well as foreign manufacturers – in the whole Scandinavian market.

Typical products are small "handy" multipurpose tractors, all kinds and sizes of professional grass cutters, small environmental friendly electrical transportation / service cars for golf courses or industry, sweeping and cleaning machines for municipals and industry, machines and equipment for maintenance of gardens and parks, winter-equipment such as saltspreaders, snowploughs etc.

It is the company's stated policy - within the defined markets - to be a total machine supplier for all seasons of the year.

The company is represented all over Scandinavia either with own companies, subsidiaries or associated dealers.

The headquarters are placed in Copenhagen (Kastrup) in Denmark.

The Svenningsens Group employs in total nearly 100 people of which nearly 70 are employed in the Danish company. The company has a proud and colourful history dating back 140 years. It was founded in 1861 by the black smith Andreas Svenningsen and has during the years developed from a local "one man show" to a modern medium sized company with the whole of Scandinavia as its market place.

The company is still in the ownership – fifth generation - of the Svenningsen family, and now as before the ultimate objective of the company is to satisfy customers needs – or in short: supply quality for the customers of the Company
