Royal Golf Center Copenhagen - with new machines!
5. mar 2009
In October, the agreement was signed between Royal Golf Center Copenhagen and Svenningsens Maskinforretning A/S.

The delivery of machines has already started. Svenningsens Maskinforretning A/S is supplying machines successively as the track is finished. The course at Royal Golf Center Copenhagen is expected to be finished ultimo 2009 for all 18 holes.

Royal Golf Center Copenhagen is the first international golf course in Copenhagen. Royal Golf Center Copenhagen has a unique location in a wonderful natural resort near Bella Center and Fields shoppingcenter.
Besides providing Jacobsen cutters to all the various fields of the golf course, Svenningsens also supply Bernhard grinders in order to grind and maintain the multiple cylinders and rotor cutters used to maintain the courses.
The rest of the large package contains a wide range of Svenningsens other products such as EZ-GO golf carts, tractors, deep aerators, seeding- and spray machines.

The vision of Royal Golf Center Copenhagen has always been crystal clear. Royal Golf Center Copenhagen is going to be a facility where courses, facilities and services will be 1st class. Therefore it was obvious that Royal Golf Center Copenhagen chose Svenningsens Maskinforretning as their supplier, because Svenningsens imports the American produced machines from Jacobsen.

Jacobsen is one of the world's largest and most respected manufacturers of machines for the maintenance of golf courses. It is owned by TEXTRON group which also includes the Ransomes factory in Ipswich, England, which is the world's oldest and only grass cutting factory in Europe.

Ransomes cutters are sold primarily to municipalities and large housings. Textron also owns the EZ-GO factory which produces the popular electric vehicles that are used extensively on golf courses as golf carts.

Moreover, another important parameter was the distance of only 6 kilometres to the main office of Svenningsens, which is in Kastrup. Royal Golf Center Copenhagen chose to let their machines be serviced by servicemen at Svenningsens. The servicemen operate from vehicles which are fully equipped and can service the customers throughout the country.

Royal Golf Center Copenhagen is one of the newest top class golf courses in Denmark. It was designed by one of the most respected and experienced golf course architects in the world, Mr. Ron Kirby.
Mr. Ron Kirby is especially known for designing the golf course Gleneagles (Ryder Cup in 2014) Sun City, Paris International, Mount Juliet in Kilkenny and the Old Head near Kinsale.
