 | | 12. feb 2009 | | With headquarters in Copenhagen on Amager, Svenningens Maskinforretning A/S becomes new agent in Scandinavia for Kubota, which is one of the world's largest compact tractor producers. In addition to the extensive tractor programme of both compact tractors and larger tractors up to 128 hp, Svenningsens will also import Kubota's lawnmowers for the green sector.
Svenningsens was almost headhunted to be the Scandinavian Kubota representative. - It was Kubota who contacted us. We actually did not know that they were on the lookout. There is no doubt that we received the request, because we are one of the few companies that cover the whole of Scandinavia, says Niels Svenningsen, the owner of Svenningsens. Besides the departments in Kastrup and Skanderborg, Svenningsens has branches in Oslo, the Norwegian capital and several branches in Sweden among others in Stockholm, Gothenburg, Halmstad and Skänninge.
The new agency fits well with the group's new strategy of increasing sales through dealers. The company now takes over a dealership network with no fewer than 45 Kubota dealers in Scandinavia. Svenningsens aims to continue and develop the cooperation with the dealers. The large tractor programme of Kubota ranges from 16 to 128 horsepower tractors. On the green sector, Kubota has a wide range of professional lawnmowers both front mower and zero-turn models and also utility four-wheel drive vehicles with diesel engines, which are especially popular on the golf courses and agriculture. Kubota tractors to Scandinavia are produced in Japan, whereas the machines for the green sector mainly come from the United States. Worldwide, the group employs approximately 25,000 employees.
